On-Street Parking

Downtown Street Parking

Pay parking at on-street meters is in effect daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On-street parking continues to be free on BC statutory holidays, as well as Boxing Day. On-street pay stations do not accept payment nor do they allow you to reload a parking card on holidays.

Drivers with accessible parking permits can park for up to four hours for free on Sundays at regular metered on-street parking spaces.

Residential Parking

Residential parking zones are in place to provide Victoria residents access to on-street parking on their block. These zones are marked by signs that say “Residential Parking Only.” Only residents living in a residential parking zone can park on that block.

These zones include residential streets that are located close to downtown or near community amenities such as Royal Jubilee Hospital, Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, Royal Athletic Park or shopping centres.

Residential parking zones apply 24/7. There is no time limit to how long a vehicle can be parked in a residential parking zone.
