The City of Victoria is seeking individuals interested in working as election officials for the 2026 Municipal Election.

  • Election officials play a key role in ensuring voting is conducted in a fair, accessible and efficient manner.
  • If you are detail-oriented, reliable and able to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply. 
  • Positions are available for advance voting days (Oct. 7, 13, 14 and 15) and general voting day (Oct. 17). 
  • Election officials are paid for both training and work shifts, with rates varying by position and responsibility.

Register to Vote

Visit the Elections BC website for details on who can vote and to:

  • Register to vote if you are 18 years or older
  • Update your voter information such as your residential or mailing address
  • Pre-register by adding your name to the Future Voters List if you are 16 or 17 years old
