How to Pay a Parking Ticket
There are many options for paying a parking ticket. To pay a ticket online with your credit card, use the City’s online payment system. You can search by ticket number or licence plate.
You can pay a ticket by cheque or money order (no cash), payable to the City of Victoria, and mail it to: City of Victoria, #1 Centennial Square, Victoria, BC V8W 1P6.
You can also pay in person at the Public Service Centre at City Hall, located on the corner of Douglas Street and Pandora Avenue. The Centre is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can pay with cash, cheque, debit or credit card.
You can also pay by cheque or money order using the after-hours deposit box located at the Pandora Avenue entrance to City Hall.
Parking Ticket Reviews
Parking ticket reviews cannot be conducted over the phone - they must be done in person or through the online form below.
To request the City to review a parking ticket, you must complete a Parking Ticket Review Form within 14 days of when the ticket was issued. You can complete this form online, by mail or in person.
Please allow up to 10 business days for the parking ticket review. Any amount owing will remain on hold until the review process is complete. Please note: The fine amount is frozen pending the outcome of the review. You cannot request a review for a paid ticket or ticket in collections.
Vehicle Impoundment
A ticketed vehicle may be impounded for many reasons. While public safety is the most important reason for towing, others reasons include:
- the vehicle’s ticket history
- the vehicle is parked along a tow route
- the vehicle is parked at a location that requires a valid permit
- the vehicle is a safety issue, e.g., it’s parked beside a fire hydrant or blocking a driveway or intersection
Vehicles may be claimed at Always Towing at 647B Dupplin Road. Owners of a vehicle towed by the City for outstanding tickets must pay a $200 administration fee before their vehicle is released. Please contact Always Towing at 250.381.0110 to confirm your vehicle has been towed by the City. Towing and storage fees will apply.
